“Why Do We Fall?” is the title of the above video. I think that it’s really about the limits that many impose on themselves. As a result, many do not achieve the kind of success that they yearn for.
I love the last line in this video: “Because limits like fears are often just an illusion.”
Exactly. Many often delude themselves into thinking that there are limits to what they can do. Often, these limits are often psychological and debilitating. They need not be. It takes hard work to overcome these mental limits in order to achieve success. Supportive friends and family are often key.
Don’t limit yourself. Don’t let friends and family tell you that you can’t do or won’t be able to do something. Upon learning that I was going to move to Canada, one person in Columbus dismissively told me “What? You’re over 40! (I was 42 at that time), you’re going to have to start all over!” My reply was that I looked forward to the challenge of a new life. 🙂
If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them. -Bruce Lee.
I’ll be going in for cochlear implant surgery tomorrow and I’m ready to go. I will require more auditory rehab in the right ear as it has always been nearly profoundly deaf for most of my life. So I’m looking forward to the road ahead. I’m raring to go.
