As pointed out in the video, it is imperative that you have the check hand up ready to defend against an opponent’s attack. Once you successfully defend yourself, you’ll be able to launch various counters at your adversary.
Why would you want to leave your check hand dangling by your side? This kind of habit does you no good. Have that check hand up at all times. By having the check hand in proper position, you can defend and counter.
With your hands at your side, there’s a good chance that you’ll be sporting a toothless smile like this fella. Don’t do the face block!
